| Software Engineering
Software is developed with the End-User as the most important element. It must start with Requirements and end with the User appyling it to the problem it was designed for!
We are a cross-platform development group (PC, Mac, Unix, LINUX). We develop our software for portablility and collaborative environments using a variety of languages (Java, Swing, Java Beans, Fortran, Tcl/Tk, VisualBasic) and operating systems (Windows, OSX, RedHat).
We use current standards and practices such as Mil-Std-498 and Mi-Std-2167A, UML for Object Oriented Analysis and Programming (OOA/OOP), HTML and XML, and MySQL for large scale database applications. But we are aslo skilled in industry standard tools sets (or COTS), for example:
- Database
- Oracle
- Windchill Product Data Manager (PDM)
- Access
- FileMaker pro
- Programming IDE (Integrated Design Environments) or CASE Tools
- Rational Rose (Grady/Booch)
- ECLIPSE
- Java based IDE's
- UML Based IDE's (Posiden)
- Collaborative Engineering Environments
- RECIPE© (ISSI Developed)
- PARSEC (Developer with NASA)
- Model Center (used with NASA AEE Team)
- Data Repositories and SW Configuration Management
- CVS
- RCS
- TrueChange
- SourceSafe
- Bugzilla
- MySQL
- ValueStream (ISSI Developed)
- Virtual Research Center (VRC) (developed with NASA)
- RECIPE© (ISSI Developed)
Software engineers also are systems engineers in their own right based on the fact they have worked in the past as engineers with degress in mechanical, electrical and aerospace engineering, physics, and mathematics. We have successfully developed and delivered software to the Army and NASA.
