Technology users employ the ValuStream process to gain insight into today’s complex problems that prevent tomorrow’s technologies from being realized.

The technology user applies ValuStream to gain insight into problems that prevent the technology from being ready for installation into your design.  This prevents unexpected implementation costs.  ValuStream looks at assumptions made during the design to achieve the stated requirements. By doing this, ValuStream identifies design gaps that need technologies to provide a solution.  Therefore, the results of the process are twofold.  First, it identifies any additional work required to implement a new technology; and second, it identifies areas where new technologies are needed.
The technologists use ValuStream to gain insight into their customer’s problems.  This gives the provider the information necessary to create a technology solution that is prefect for the customer’s needs.  While the process and intended results are the same when the technology user and provider initiate ValuStream, when the provider initiates the process, it shows the customer/user that the provider is truly concerned about providing a valuable product.
